New Jersey's Equal Pay Act Reporting to begin on 3/31/19.

New Jersey Governor Murphy enacted the Diane B. Allen Equal Pay Act.  The law requires that any employer entering into a contract with the State of New Jersey or an instrumentality of the State for "qualify services" or "public works" must provide the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) - upon commencement of the contract - certain information for all employees who are employed in connection with the contract (for public works) and for all employees (for qualifying services.  This requirement DOES NOT apply when contracting with local governments (municipalities and counties).

This report MUST contain the gender, race, ethnicity, job category, compensation, and number of hours worked by each employee AND MUST BE EMAILED to NJDOL beginning 4/1/19.

NOTE:  All existing/current customers were notified on 4/1/19 that this update (new form & reporting requirements) is available.  New Trial users & customers will automatically have this form beginning 4/1/19.

To obtain the update please follow these instructions.  This MUST be done on each computer that the Certified Payroll program is installed on.

  • Make sure that you have a current backup of you CPS data.  (If you aren't backing up follow these video based instructions)
  • From the Help menu --> choose About --> click the BIG Login to Web Service Center button --> when the web page is visible, click the Download Current CPS Setup/Installation button and follow the instructions.

Selecting the form:

  • You may select the form on a job by job basis from the Form Options tab of the Job Record - the form name is NJ Equal Pay Act Form (MW562)

We have NOT removed any prior forms.
